Operating a group in Ubud
Ubud is where the cultural itinerary lives, and it works best as the second centre of a split stay rather than a day trip from the south coast. Transfers from the airport sit in a higher band than Kuta or Seminyak, and drive times to the south coast are longer than the map suggests once traffic is factored in.
Vehicle access in Ubud
A 39 or 48-seat coach cannot enter the Ubud area except the palace (puri) car park, and requires patwal otherwise. Medium coaches, Hiace and cars are unrestricted.
